PosItion Overview

The Senior Talent Acquisition Manager is a mission-driven, personable, inclusive, and proactive talent acquisition expert who is accountable for the recruitment functions within Italian Home for Children’s People Operations Department. The Senior Talent Acquisition Manager is results-driven and action-oriented and excels in times of change and growth. This critical position collaborates with program leaders to deliver high-caliber talent for existing openings and bench-strength pipeline development as well as envisions and executes the business partner relationship assigning other members of the people operations department to specific program recruitment functions. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, ambitious individual who views human capital as the organization’s most critical asset. This leader utilizes a metrics-driven approach to deliver a talent pipeline from a variety of recruiting sources (social media, traditional job boards, career fairs, college programs) while promoting Italian Home for Children’s brand as an employer of choice. This role tracks and analyzes applicant ongoing feedback regarding job descriptions, compensation, benefits, and other qualities of employer of choice in this field and brings insights to the VP of People Operations for consideration. The Senior Talent Acquisition Manager ensures modern best practices are enlisted and technology leveraged to ensure a growing workforce. The Senior Talent Acquisition Manager demonstrates a willingness to try new strategies and has strong people skills, professional and clear presentation skills, and superb attention to detail.

As a leader and important face of the agency, this person demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of IHC to all audiences. This is a hybrid position between home and the office in Jamaica Plain, MA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion recruiting and leverage the power of LinkedIn. Drive a reduction in recruiting spend, identifying and contributing qualified candidates to the business
  • Shape approach and policy around business partner model and coach junior recruiters on their own professional growth
  • Engage with program leaders and People Operations colleagues using a collaborative and consultative approach that builds credibility while establishing trust at all levels of the organization to create win/win solutions
  • Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure a diverse candidate slate for all open roles
  • Lead full cycle recruitment processes for assigned positions, leveraging internal and external channels for active openings and pipeline development
  • Regularly assess the pulse of recruitment campaigns, pivoting approach as necessary to attract top talent
  • Analyze trends and develop metrics with a focus on continuous improvement and adoption of best practice
  • Function as talent acquisition Subject Matter Expert, providing ongoing coaching and training to people operations community and management team(s) across the division
  • Develop and provide weekly key staffing metrics
  • Proactively engage the market to understand the competitive landscape, developing new strategies to promote our company brand and sourcing methodologies
  • Organize and/or attend career fairs, college recruiting programs, diversity/inclusion engagements or other events
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local employment and labor laws
  • Proactively communicate with leadership and peers to get a clear view of division’s hiring needs and organizational goals
  • Contribute informed recommendations regarding compensation and benefits to management after performing compensation analysis
  • Interact with applicants and vendors with professionalism and prompt response to inquiries
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree required. Bachelor’s in human resource management or related area preferred.
  • Human Resources certification (SHRM or another accredited certificate program) not required but strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in talent acquisition
  • Experience in nonprofit/human service industry strongly preferred
  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems
  • Extreme flexibility and adaptability with a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit
    • Exceptional communication and influencing skills; persuasive, credible, and polished communicator both written and verbal; proven ability to steward positive external relationships
  • Creative, independent, and strategic thinker
  • Mission-driven and self-directed individual with demonstrated passion for Italian Home for Children’s values and treatment philosophy
  • Interest in staff and client’s culture and strong self-awareness of one’s own culture and beliefs; training in cultural humility strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Strong ability to accept and give feedback; Proficiency in coaching/counseling
  • Sound and appropriate judgment and discretion
  • Consistent and strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and autonomously and adhere to deadlines
