Summary:

The Data-Driven Renewables Research (D2R2) group led by Dr. Peter Schindler is discovering novel materials for renewable energy applications using high-throughput, ab-initio calculations, and data-driven materials property predictions. A deep understanding of surface properties of materials and close connections in academia and industry enable the group to explore new research avenues. Qualifications:

Background in computational materials science/chemistry and is holding a PhD in a related field. Strong expertise in density functional theory and high performance computing. Additional background in renewable energy, surface science, catalysis, and/or machine learning. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent publication track-record and basic experience with grant writing.
