Job Description:

Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Workforce Development, the P/T Program Administrator (WCC) - Center for Financial and Economic Education, is responsible for managing and coordinating a range of financial education programs for students and the campus community.  The P/T Program Administrator's role incorporates introducing and planning new initiatives, as well as fund raising, marketing, and management of the program's finances and annual budget. A primary component of this role is managing the Money Smart Financial Coaching Program (MSFCP), a financial coaching program involving approximately 100 students each year, which is funded by a grant from the National Council for Workforce Education ("NCWE").  The position oversees financial coaches who work on a consulting basis, in addition to coordinating all aspects of the coaching program, such as recruiting, marketing and reporting of outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

Managing all facets of the Money Smart Financial Coaching program (MSFCP), consisting of:

  • Recruiting new students to the program and handling ongoing administrative details of enrollment, tracking and follow-up. 
  • Contracting with and supervising consultants working as financial coaches.
  • Managing the communication process with students.
  • Planning workshops for participants and the campus community, including recruitment of volunteer guest speakers and coordinating with other programs such as TRIO and EOP.
  • Collaborating with other departments on campus (Student Involvement, TRIO, Completion Coaches, Career Services, etc.) to refer students, as appropriate.
  • Coordinating data and monitoring and reporting grant metrics, outcomes and compliance with the requirements of the NCWE grant.
  • Creating/revising documents and information needed for coaching, such as Application forms, Assessment forms, Welcome Packages, Budget Work Sheets and Expense Tracking worksheets.                      

Administering the budgeting and financial planning process for the CFEE.

Managing the marketing and publicity efforts for the Money Smart Financial Coaching Program and other CFEE events.


Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience in the field of education, educational administration, or analyses of customer needs, program operations, marketing or customer services.  The satisfactory completion of 30 credits toward a Master's degree may be substituted for each year of the experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: The preferred qualifications include:

  • 5-10 years leading or directing multi-faceted programs, including experience with financial coaching, advising or similar services.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with students, faculty and staff.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing strategies, including use of newsletters, social media, etc.
  • Experience working with corporate donors and funders.
  • Demonstrated experience with analytics and database management.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with low-income, immigrant and under-represented students.


Additional Information:

SALARY & BENEFITS: The pro rata salary is $63,858 including benefits.  This position is fully grant funded.
