The Indian Valley Family YMCA Before & After School Care Program is currently HIRING for School Age Care Program Site Directors

Get paid to be creative, be active, and have fun while interacting & supervising children in a safe before & after school environment.

Positions available in our Perkiomen Valley and Souderton Area School Districts care sites.

Hours: 7-8:30 am & 3-6 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

Site Director Position Overview: The School Age Child Care Site Director/Group Supervisor is responsible promoting a safe, consistent and academically stimulating environment at assigned child care site. They oversee the school age care location, are responsible for planning daily activities, and ensuing safety of children in the program.

Requirements: 18 years or older, Associate or Bachelor degree in Education, Social Services, or equivalent, 2 years experience working with children, Pediatric First aid/CPR/AED certified

Pay rate is based on position, experience & education level.

Duties sample:

• Monitoring and being actively involved with the children
• Assure that proper records are maintained on staff, equipment, facilities and the like as required for Health Department/PA DPW/YMCA/STARS/Governmental agency regulations and guidelines
• Assisting children in organize activities as individuals and in groups
• Set up and the closing of before and after school program
• Developing and implementing a daily age-appropriate program
• Participate in any and all fundraising campaigns
• Provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children and staff
• Ability to process, understand and respond to emergency situations
• Perform necessary functions in order to ensure opening and running of program during inclement weather to provide safe care for participants, requiring staff to arrive as scheduled for full/half day care programs on inclement weather days

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
