Information Technology Security Spring 2023 Internship

Job Description

Selected interns will be expected to work 120 hours over the course of the semester, averaging around 10-12 hours per week. If adjustments need to be made to accommodate class schedules or other duties, the intern can work with the manager to make those changes.

Interns will be expected to adhere to Visions’ policies and procedures because during the time that they are here, they are considered one of our employees. A handbook will be provided at the time of your appointment, if selected.

Internships will be paid and can qualify for academic credit. To determine eligibility for earning credit, students must consult with their academic advisor.

 

 

Projects:

  • Assist the IT-Security SOC team in investigating, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents within the network environment.
  • Assist the IT-Security SOC team by using cyber defense tools for continual monitoring and analysis of system activity to identify malicious activity.
  • Assist the IT-Security SOC team with analyzing network alerts from various sources within the enterprise and determine possible causes of such alerts.
  • Assist the IT-Security SOC team with ongoing projects and initiatives .
