Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. The Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) focus is to provide engineering, technical, and programmatic support to the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors and Lasers (PEO IWS 2.0) Directorate. Efforts include overarching program management, test and evaluation, systems engineering, operations analysis, systems integration, international, cyber security, IT network and programmatic support for over 25 PEO IWS 2.0 advanced radar, phased array radar, electronic warfare, electro-optic, advanced off-board electronic warfare/decoy, and directed energy programs. IWSG staff support a variety of tasks including: support and completion of major technical reviews; producing required acquisition documentation; meeting critical program milestone deadlines; managing program needs and external requirements, and ensuring the right resources are provided to the right priorities at the right time.
 

This internship is primarily in office work with occasional telework allowed.
 

Timeline for this job opportunity: We are currently accepting applications for this paid internship. We expect to be able to make an offer to our selected candidates by the end of January.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a smart, energetic, and dedicated student actively pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or other related STEM degree to work alongside the SPA team in support of PEO IWS 2.0 programs. The successful intern will quickly learn and contribute to tasks, projects and discussions with opportunities to support exciting radar, electronic warfare and electro-optic/infrared programs.

 


The IWSG office is located at 20 M Street in Southeast DC, conveniently down the street from our clients at the Washington Navy Yard.

 

Qualifications:

The ideal intern will:
  • Be enrolled in, and in pursuit of, a four-year undergraduate degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related STEM degree
  • Articulate a willingness to learn program/organizational processes and procedures
  • Demonstrate forward thinking and proactive problem solving skills
  • Possess strong leadership, administrative, and interpersonal skills
  • Be capable of quickly obtaining and maintaining an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
