R&D Engineer I (Co-Op)
Pay Rate: $28.00
Location: Marlborough, MA 01752
Duration: 5+ month contract
Hours: 1st shift M-F flexible

The Surgical group works to bring best in class medical devices to the women's health market through user centered product development. We work closely with physicians and nurses to identify needs and develop solutions to improve patient care. In particular you will be joining a highly innovative and passionate team working on new or enhancing existing technologies and have the opportunity to see and learn from most of the stages of product development. The individual will support the team in test methods development or execution, design and develop fixtures based on design needs, create laboratory notebooks supporting testing or formative studies, and be proactive about group conversations and discussion on different subjects, from testing in a laboratory to learning on doctor’s needs.

We're looking for bright, inquisitive problem solvers who strive to make a difference. In order to be considered for this internship you must:

• Be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and have at least one semester left after co-op
• Rising Junior or Senior
• Majoring in: Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering
• Have a 3.2/4.0 GPA
• Experience with: Excel, SolidWorks, MiniTab, Communication, Flexibility, Rapid Prototyping, 3D Printing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Work directly with R&D engineers who are responsible for the design and development of the company’s current and next generation medical devices. This individual will support R&D in the design, development, testing, implementation of numerous mechanical sub systems under development.
