Job Description

The Clemson Computational Biophysics Lab is looking for one or two postdoctoral research fellows. We are a theoretical/computational biophysics group in the Department of Physics and Astronomy  at Clemson University , College of Science . Our research projects include but are not limit to amyloid aggregation and toxicity mitigation, structure and dynamics of multi-domain proteins, liquid-liquid phase separation, nano-bio interface and nanomedicine. We also develop the discrete molecular dynamics (DMD) algorithm for efficient modeling of biomolecules and molecular complexes. Many of our works are published in high profile journals, including PNAS, eLife, Nature Communications, Nano Today, Small, Advanced Science, Advanced Materials, etc. The lab maintains stable funding over the years and has established many long-term experimental collaborators. Details of the lab can be found at the group website: https://dlab.clemson.edu/ .

A qualified candidate is required to have a PhD degree in physical sciences and have published original research works in reputed scientific journals. We welcome enthusiastic individuals, who are knowledgeable in statistical physics, molecular biophysics and structural bioinformatics, skilled in computational structure biology, and experienced with methodology development and supercomputing, to apply. Parallel programming experience will be a plus.
