Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is seeking a Coordinator for Community Outreach and Programs for the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship. The Dingman Center is an internationally recognized Center for teaching and inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs. For the eighth straight year, the University of Maryland has ranked in the Top 10 of The Princeton Review’s annual survey of the Top Schools for Entrepreneurship.
The Dingman Center is an inclusive environment where we educate, empower and equip students with the business skills needed to be an entrepreneur and the resources necessary to make their business ideas a reality. We proactively seek to work with both traditional and social entrepreneurs, as well as female founders and under-represented minorities.
We are looking for a hardworking, solutions-oriented professional to join our team as the Coordinator for Community Outreach and Programs. This person will support the Dingman Center team in delivering on its mission and its strategic pillars 1) inclusive entrepreneurship 2) knowledge hub 3) growth school through a sustainable portfolio of high-quality programming that educates, equips and inspires the University of Maryland student body and expanding its impact to the Prince George’s County community.

The Community Outreach and Program Coordinator will support the team to expand its impact to Prince George’s County community and schools. This person will report to the Assistant Director of Community Programs and work closely with all members of the Dingman Center staff, faculty partners and other collaborators.

- Experience and skills focused on marketing (including social media, website), communications and community engagement

- Interest in innovation and entrepreneurship, knowledge of the entrepreneurial process a plus

- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Tech savvy: experience or interest working with digital platforms such as Salesforce.com, Coda, Airtable, Google Suite.
