Job Description:

A Post Doctoral Associate position is available in the Center for Molecular Magnetic Quantum Materials (M2QM) led by Dr. Hai-Ping Cheng in the Department of Physics at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. This position is funded by the US Department of Energy; which focuses on the science of using molecule-based magnetic systems as the basis for the next generations of quantum technologies, with a program ranging from the synthesis and characterization of these emergent new materials to a systematic computational understanding of their many-body quantum behavior. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Experimental research involving the synthesis and characterization by various spectroscopic and physical techniques of molecular metal-oxo compounds of transition metal and/or lanthanide metals as required by the overall objectives of the M2QM Center. In addition, provide assistance to other members of the M2QM Center in the handling and mounting of such compounds for study. Also will assist in the preparation of manuscripts for publication.

Salary The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and the compensation includes a full benefits package.
