Position Highlights

The James C. Wyant College of Optical Sciences is seeking applicants to fill a Postdoctoral Research Associate position specializing in extreme NLO Interactions in semiconducting materials.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will be required to interact closely in a multi-investigator setting with theoretical and experimental physicists.
  • Transfer developed parallel C++ computer codes onto in-house shared memory parallel supercomputers.
  • Carry out independent research, partially supervise graduate students and disseminate research through publications.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D in Physics, Applied Mathematics or a related field upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to candidates having a strong publication's record, showing strong leadership and supervisory experience, and relevant experience in nonlinear analysis of pdes and parallel computation.
