Biology Adjunct Faculty – Spring Semester 2023

Waubonsee Community College’s Visual and Performing Arts, Education, and Sciences division is currently seeking an adjunct instructor to assume teaching duties of a face-to-face course on Anatomy and Physiology.

BIO272 - Anatomy and Physiology II:
The lecture meets on Mondays 6:30-9:15 pm (CST) and lab meets on Wednesday 6:30-9:15 pm (CST)

Adjunct Faculty in the Visual and Performing Arts, Education, and Sciences report to the Assistant Dean and work with full-time faculty in designing lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to ensure that students successfully meet the course outcomes.

Adjunct Faculty provide instruction and monitor teaching/learning effectiveness in courses. This position requires professionals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates for this position must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask as well as the ability to engage students. They must also be able to use technology sufficiently to use a learning management system (Canvas) and respond to email. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for student evaluations, and timely and accurate submission for required instructional paperwork.

Minimum Qualifications

 

Master's degree in Biological Science or related field with 18 graduate hours in Biology, required.
