Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to research.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with graduate and undergraduate students as well as with the PI and other faculty members.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and perform the experiments under the guidance of the supervisor.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and interpret the data.
  • Write progress reports and prepare results for publication and dissemination
  • Write manuscripts for publications as well as research proposals for grant applications.
  • Present research findings to colleagues at the group meeting, departmental seminar, and at conferences.
  • Operates and maintains sophisticated laboratory/scientific equipment.
  • Actively participate as a member of a research team.
  • Order research supplies and manage lab instruments.
  • Participate with the supervisor to mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Participate in teaching a class for the undergraduate students under the supervision of the supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
