Job Summary | The Department of Internal Medicine, division of Digestive Disease and Nutrition, is seeking an Assistant Professor to contribute to the development of programmatic research at the basic and translational levels, cultivate scientific interactions with investigators across the University and participating in institutional research programs. This position will also mentor postdoctoral fellows, MD/PhD students, and graduate students, while assisting these individuals to develop their research and teaching skills. This position will be instrumental in expanding the academic accomplishments by publishing, presenting research at national and international meetings, and obtaining extramural funding. This position will be expected to maintain an extramurally funded independent research program. In addition, the Assistant Professor will participate in department and center teaching activities such as participating in courses taught to medical, dental, graduate, and/or undergraduate students, and developing new courses that may benefit the University. Minimal teaching will be expected in the first year of appointment. Please include a CV when applying to the position.
