Postdoctoral Associate in Theoretical/Computational Condensed Matter Physics

We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in theoretical/computational condensed matter physics within the group of Prof. Yang Zhang at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The initial appointment will be two years, but is renewable for another one or two years, depending on the availability of funding and mutual agreement. The successful candidate is expected to explore quantum transport in magnets, oxides, and superconductors, lattice model simulation of correlated states, etc.



Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field (the degree to be completed no later than 06/01/2023). Candidate should have rich research experience and a strong publication record in theoretical and computational quantum condensed matter physics, broadly defined. Research expertise in one of the following methods: DFT, ED, DMRG, or QMC will be a valuable asset, but is not required.

Applicants should provide: (1) A CV, including a publication list. (2) A statement of research interests and accomplishments. (3) A minimum of two letters of recommendation.
