Position Qualification
Position Summary | Postdoctoral Opportunity in Allergy & Immunology Division A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jill Poole, Chief of the Allergy & Immunology Division at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). The research goal of Dr. Poole’s lab is to understand the complex mechanisms underlying the development of occupational and environmental-induced lung disease to inform therapeutic investigations to prevent, halt, or reverse lung disease. The dynamic interplay of host factors including autoimmunity in the lung response to inhalant exposures that govern lung and systemic disease manifestations are also of particular importance. We focus on developing 3D tissue constructs/organoids and exploiting murine models to investigate the pathogenesis of diseased tissue and examine potential therapeutic remedies. We are looking for individuals who are interested in cutting edge technologies, multidisciplinary collaboration and translational research. Candidates with a strong background in immunology, mouse modeling, and lung disease are highly desired. Candidates should also have a demonstrated history of good communication skills and enthusiasm for research, as well as a strong desire to further their own research career. The position will be funded based on NIH post-doctoral salary levels. Interested candidates should send a C.V., a cover letter describing research experience and interests, and contact information for three references to: cnussral@unmc.edu . |
