Horton, Inc., has an opening for a Human Resources Internship at our Corporate Headquarters in Roseville, MN.

Position Summary:
The HR Intern will complete a variety of human resource projects while working full time in the summer. Then if applicable continuing projects part time in the fall.

Responsibilities:

Human Resources Intern's Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting
Review resumes
Post new positions
Sourcing,
Participate in initial phone screens
Scheduling onsite interviews
Prepare materials for new hires and orientations
Own job files for Affirmative Action
Create new hire personnel files
Greet new hires/interview candidates

  • Training:
Double check work for our current assistant
Create and record trainings
Audit current training site
Assist with new employee orientation

  • Onboarding:
Have observe and offer ideas for ways to enhance and create new hire binders and manuals
Sit in on new hire orientation
Assist with Manager Onboarding
Assist with intern program, etc.

  • Administrative:
Assist with some administrative duties i.e. filing, data entry, back up for front desk, participate in United Way, and Employee Event committee
Safety data entry as needed
Audit current employee personnel files
Employee Photos

  • FMLA

  • Benefits Auditing

  • Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Human Resources Intern Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Human Resources with strong academic performance (3.0 GPA or above)
  • Junior, Senior and Master's status
  • Demonstrated leadership, strong initiative and decision-making skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter who can work well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across the organization\Selfless, positive, get-it-done attitude

Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Relocation allowance may be provided if the individual has all of the necessary qualifications.
