  • Our Pediatric Infectious Disease Division faculty provide inpatient infectious disease consultations at 6 sites across 4 healthcare systems, and in 2 ambulatory care clinics. Members of our faculty care for children and adolescents living with HIV at the Ponce de Leon Youth and Family Center, one of the largest cohorts in the United States.
  • Our basic and translational faculty researchers work collaboratively with our clinician-scientist faculty to perform cutting edge research with the goal of finding a cure for HIV, a vaccine for RSV, understanding the current SARS-CoV-2 virus, and preparing for the next pandemic.

Our portfolio also includes participation in the International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials (IMPAACT) Network, the NIH-funded Rare Diseases Clinical Research Network, and NIH-funded career development awards to faculty members.
  • Our division faculty collaborate with Emory University as their pediatric partner in the care of children with known or suspected special pathogens, including Ebola.
