Post Doctoral Scholar


Department:
Medicine | Otolaryngology

Postdoctoral research scholar to pursue specialized research training and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor in a research laboratory within the Department of Otolaryngology at The Ohio State University; conducts research on investigating both vestibular function and balance under the guidance of a faculty mentor. The postdoctoral research associate will help with experiment design, software development, data collection, analysis of results, and manuscript and grant application preparation. With further experience, the postdoctoral trainee may also contribute to the design of follow-up studies.

PhD in Behavorial Sciences or related field is required. Must have experience testing human subjects. Must have experience with one or more of the following – MATLAB programming, biostatistics, dynamic systems, human use IRB applications, and clinical research. Experience performing vestibular and/or balance experiments is highly desired. This position requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
