Summary of Job Duties:
The He Group with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Associate in Organic Chemistry. We are seeking a highly motivated and hard-working organic chemist to work on interdisciplinary projects. The Postdoctoral Associate in Organic Chemistry will be responsible for the design and synthesis of reagents for the functionalization of nanomaterials. The applicant must have strong background in organic synthesis and compound characterizations. This position also involves student mentoring, manuscript preparation and grant proposal preparation as needed.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in chemistry or in a related field from an accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of employment

• Excellent organic synthetic experience

?Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with polymers and carbon nanomaterials characterizations are preferred.
