Full Job Description
The Food Service & On Premise (FSOP) Sales Internship is a full-time paid position for a current undergraduate or graduate student at University of Southern California pursuing a degree in Marketing, Sales or other business-related programs. The Irvine, CA based internship will last approximately 12 weeks during Summer 2023 and will include frequent local travel to our California-based clients. Interns will work directly with our account executives to strengthen existing client relationships and execute new sales priorities and initiatives. Salary is $22/hr.
Position Summary:
The company’s Internship Program is for the Sales, Operations/Distribution, Supply Chain/Manufacturing teams as well as the Enabling Function teams i.e., Accounting, Finance Sales Operations, Revenue Growth Management, Commercial, Supply Chain Planning, IT, HR, Legal, Safety, etc. The Intern will have an opportunity to learn about many aspects of the company. This position will work alongside members of the designated team and will build relationships with customers, leaders, and peers within the company. The Intern will participate in a variety of activities and projects designed to provide exposure to the business and develop their leadership skills.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Perform projects and duties as assigned by their manager.
- Meet/exceed project deliverables and deadlines.
- Develop technical expertise and business knowledge by seizing opportunities to learn.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Power Point, Word)
- Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to complete assignments/projects to completion.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The Company will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
- If the internship requires driving, must have reliable automobile transportation, maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license, and maintain auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the company and state law.
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
