Job Summary
A postdoctoral research associate/scientist position is available for joining an established interdisciplinary research group based in the Center for Atomically Precise Fabrication of Soli-state Quantum Devices at the University of Texas at Dallas. This project is funded by Department of Energy and aims to develop innovative tools and methods for high-throughput atomically precise manufacturing.
The project will involve design and fabrication of innovative MEMS devices for high-speed and high-throughput scanning probe microscopy. The applicant should have a strong background in MEMS design and MEMS fabrication in a cleanroom environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a host of theoretical and experimental projects, supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers, write reports and manuscripts, attend international conferences, prepare proposals and work closely with collaborating groups.
Minimum Education and Experience

Ph.D in a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience
The applicant should have (or be close to completing) a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a host of theoretical and experimental projects, supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers, write reports and manuscripts, attend international conferences, and work with collaborating groups based in Zyevx Labs and NIST.

A remote work schedule is not available for this position.
