Job Summary | A postdoctoral research associate/scientist position is available for joining an established interdisciplinary research group based in the Center for Atomically Precise Fabrication of Soli-state Quantum Devices at the University of Texas at Dallas. This project is funded by Department of Energy and aims to develop innovative tools and methods for high-throughput atomically precise manufacturing. The project will involve design and fabrication of innovative MEMS devices for high-speed and high-throughput scanning probe microscopy. The applicant should have a strong background in MEMS design and MEMS fabrication in a cleanroom environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a host of theoretical and experimental projects, supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers, write reports and manuscripts, attend international conferences, prepare proposals and work closely with collaborating groups. |
Minimum Education and Experience | Ph.D in a related field. |
Preferred Education and Experience | The applicant should have (or be close to completing) a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities | The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a host of theoretical and experimental projects, supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers, write reports and manuscripts, attend international conferences, and work with collaborating groups based in Zyevx Labs and NIST. |
