Brown University

Job Description

Brown University is pleased to request applications for its new Provost’s STEM Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for Diversity Inclusion and Impact.  Fellows, funded by the Office of the Provost and appointed for two years, will form a multidisciplinary cohort of scholars who can leverage Brown's unique collaborative environment to build exceptionally creative and influential projects across STEM disciplines. Teaching and mentoring opportunities may also be arranged for interested Fellows.  We seek candidates rooted in STEM Departments with the ability to work successfully in multidisciplinary teams and with demonstrated evidence of sustained support for the inclusion of members of underrepresented groups in their disciplines.

Fellows will have a primary disciplinary home in one department and an assigned faculty mentor, but will also be engaged by the Program in suitable interdisciplinary work thereby building/enhancing collaborations between faculty across STEM areas. Candidates will be appraised in part by how their research potential will mesh with potential mentor(s) and how it connects with other faculty in the home department and across departments/research clusters, so contacting potential faculty mentors is advised.

Applicants are due January 9, 2023 though the search will continue to review applications until available positions are filled. Interested applicants can find more information at https://apply.interfolio.com/117882
