Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and support the department’s undergraduate, M.S., and Ph.D. programs in Mathematics. The position is in support of the state-funded Tech Talent Investment Program (TTIP) which seeks to increase the number of Virginia graduates at the bachelor’s and master’s level in technology and computing related fields including mathematical sciences. The search will focus on applicants with expertise in the areas of computational and applied mathematics including modeling, dynamical systems, mathematical biology, and computational materials science, but all disciplines will be considered.
