The lab of Renfeng Li, whose research focuses on the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) at the Hillman Cancer Center is recruiting a Research Assistant Professor.  Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Immunology or a related field.  The Research Assistant Professor will be in charge of identifying and investigating novel host restriction factors that control Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) latency and reactivation. The work will involve CRSIPR/Cas9 approach, cell line establishment, proteomics, RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, gene knockout and complementation, biochemical characterization, cell culture and functional virology assays, and EBV life cycle models. The Research Assistant Professor will train, evaluate and supervise postdoctoral fellows, and graduate and undergraduate students.
