Description

Two-year postdoctoral fellow (PDF) position available for joining a collaborative team in developing a bioeconomic model for evaluating chronic wasting disease (CWD) management strategies. Qualifications include a PhD and competency in quantitative and modeling analyses with preference given to applicants with specific expertise in epidemiological modeling; strong oral communication skills and publishing experience; expertise in mathematical/statistical models, and proficiency in GIS, R, and/or other programing software. PDF will collaborate in developing an integrated population model (IPM) for mule deer incorporating hunter harvest responses to CWD prevalence. Other responsibilities include managing project data, developing and validating spatial epidemiological models, writing reports, organizing meetings and giving presentations, and producing publications.
