Job Description

The Community College/Technical School Intern experiences are designed to provide community college and technical school student employee’s an in-depth exposure to career opportunities at Textron Aviation. Students will be given meaningful business-driven work and will be responsible for supporting the business in a hands-on, entry level capacity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (may include, but not limited to):

  • Interacts with multiple departments on a variety of manufacturing issues.
  • Performs research necessary to maintain and exercise a working knowledge of new processes and techniques.
  • Prepares periodic activity and status reports. Performs special assignments as required by management or mentor.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate technical and business information concisely and effectively, both written and oral.

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.

 


EDUCATION:

Must be a current student enrolled at a 2-year community college or technical school.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborates and easily gets along in team-based environments
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Computer Proficiency (MS Office, CAD, etc.)
