Job Description |
Under the general supervision of the Manufacturing Continuing Education & Customized Training (CECT) Representative the part-time instructor(s) will deliver instruction for college level courses in Manufacturing and/or Machine Tool Technology to local industry partners in accordance with course descriptions, outlines, and class schedules (lecture and laboratory instruction). Class prep, evaluating progress of students and advising students concerning educational matters would be part of this position. Also, maintaining an effective classroom environment/workspace and perform other instructional related duties as assigned. Great Communication skills is a must with CECT staff, students and industry partners.
Instructors will provide basic knowledge of safety, speeds and feeds, engine lathe equipment operation, drill press operation, cutting tools, sanders, sheet metal shear and break, milling operation, grinder operation, saw operation and basic power tools. Machine setup, programming, troubleshooting and operation of both manual and CNC equipment would also be helpful but not required. Work with CECT Customized Training Representative to record online instructional videos, hybrid, and online courses. Onsite class dates and times are flexible as we work with industry partners on an individual basis. |

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
