The College of Lake County is currently looking for a Part-Time Enrollment Services Assistant for the Adult Education Department. The part-time Enrollment Services Assistant, under the supervision of the Operations and Compliance Manager, conducts intake, testing, new student orientation, registration and placement of students in appropriate Adult Education classes. In addition, this position enters information into the adult education database systems, provides reports as requested, and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualification
1. Associate’s Degree.
2. Experience with diverse populations.
3. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish.
4. Proven ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Summary of Essential Functions
Student/Customer Service – 50%
- Assists students with the intake process including filling out college applications, adult education information sheets, and registration forms.
- Pre-tests students following all state and federal grant mandates.
- Registers new and returning students in the appropriate Adult Education classes on and off sites as necessary.
- Works with the students, Admissions, and Business Offices to solve any Adult Education student registration problems.
- Works from other campuses and travels between campuses
Data entry/records coordination – 40%
- Enters data into the adult education and college data systems.
- Organizes and maintains testing materials for work on and off site, and student files, maintaining confidentiality in accordance with grant, state, and federal guidelines.
- Follows all procedures according to ADA requirements.
- Provides reports as requested.
Other – 10%
- Performs other duties as assigned.
