Summary

This position will provide data analytics support to experimental teams including data pre-processing, development of machine learning models using Python/Scikit Learn, assist with data analysis and visualization using established data science techniques.  This position will also support laboratory robotics including liquid handling systems to develop and run liquid handling protocols.  This position will also manage the laboratory code repository in Gitlab and will develop software tools to support our experimental needs in image processing and data analytics.

Responsibilities*

  • Coordinate with experimental teams to assist with data analysis.
  • Train and evaluate machine learning models on laboratory generated data sets.
  • Develop software packages/tools for laboratory image analysis
  • Supervise the use of the Opentrons OT-2 robotic liquid handler and assist with the development of protocols.
  • Perform basic laboratory duties including receiving packages, storage of reagents and assistance with laboratory inventory.

Required Qualifications*

  • Experience with OpenAI AutoML, Scikit learn and image analysis.
  • Experience with liquid handling robots.
  • Fluent in Python and package management in Gitla.

Intermediate level:

  • High school diploma or Associate's degree and 1 to 3 years experience.

Associate level: 

  • High school diploma or Associate's degree and 1 year experience.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Bachelors of Science in computer science or software engineering.
  • Experience in working in a biochemistry wet-lab.

Work Schedule

40-hours per week, in person to facilitate experiments and data analysis by supporting experimental teams.

Background Screening
