Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
This position will be working with the latest open source web technologies and software development process to meet the growing complex information needs of the College. This position is hands-on and works collaboratively with the development team and users, as well as independently, and serves as the lead front end developer for the team. The qualified candidate should demonstrate strong web application frontend development ability in HTML, CSS, DOM, and JavaScript; expert knowledge in browser compatibility issues; responsive and mobile first design concept; and best practices in front end design and implementation including accessibility issues.

Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience:
-Minimum of three years of web and application development in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in leading some or all of the components in web development projects, with focus on front end components
- Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and workarounds
- Experience working with open source content management systems
- Experience applying basic software engineering principles and tools such as version control systems GIT; unit testing implementation; and working in local, development, staging and production environments.
- Ability to translate user requirements into actionable tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a team
- Self-starter who enjoys taking on new challenges and problem solving, highly motivated and enjoys learning and adapting new web technologies
- Detail oriented, organized and demonstrate the ability to produce top quality software

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience. Candidates must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the USA. No visa sponsorship is offered for this position.
