This Visual Design and Outreach Specialist is part of a communications team that is responsible for promoting the McGrath Institute for Church Life events and programs. The individual in this position develops strategic and engaging materials that showcase the Institute’s high quality theological education and formation resources, and the expertise of its faculty.
In cooperation with the Institute’s overall outreach and communications approach, and under the guidance of the Communications Program Director, the individual in this position collaborates on the creative development and expression of strategic content, campaign strategy and development, publicity efforts, and programmatic resource production.
This individual also provides guidance and direction to student interns and takes part in Institute working groups.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Collaborate with external graphic designer in the production/editing of institute educational and marketing materials in print and digital formats
- Compose and edit copy for print, email, website and social media distribution
- Collaborate with institute program directors to create educational resource materials for education and ministry audiences
- Plan and execute social media and email campaigns that connect with and engage institute program participants and prospects
- Tracking success of email and social media campaigns
- Consulting with institute communications team on design of marketing materials and campaign strategy
- Oversee production of institute annual report and other marketing materials; Maintain brand guidelines and ensure all institute materials meet brand standards
- Repurpose institute educational materials for content marketing campaigns that engage existing institute contacts and attract new contacts
