The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Server within Legends. The UEE division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Why this position?
The Server position is responsible for providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service to guests, including all elements of hospitality, such as anticipation, recognition, and responsiveness to the needs of others. Displaying optimism, intelligence, curiosity, work integrity, empathy, and self awareness, all while preforming the tasks of greeting, is required in this role. In addition, the Server is responsible for describing/explaining food and beverage offerings, creating guest orders, accurately communicating guest orders, serving food and beverages according to standards to ensure continued food and beverage service at all times, presenting guest checks/securing payment, and completing tasks necessary to support an environment which is hospitable at all times. These tasks include replenishing water and condiments, carrying trays, clearing tables, removing used dish-ware from tables, taking used dish-ware to the dishwashing area for cleaning, and exercising caution when handling china, glassware and silverware.

This position is with University Enterprises and Events at the University of Notre Dame and is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus (1/2 paid after 90 and 180 days of continuous employment). Candidates are only eligible if they are a new employee to the University – current Notre Dame employees who transfer are not eligible. Other rules and conditions apply.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to lift and carry trays of food and beverage items (up to 25lbs)
Must be intuitive and have excellent reasoning skills, with a passion for supporting anticipatory service to others
Preferred Qualifications
Must be able to obtain and retain an Indiana Alcohol Beverage Permit / license
