The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Assistant F&B Manager at Legends. The UEE division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives. As part of the event management role, the division is responsible for the planning and execution of a wide range of University events from Commencement to concerts and special events on football game weekends. The division is a major contributor of revenue to the University’s mission and employs the largest number of staff on campus with over 1,200 full-time, part-time, temporary, and on-call staff.

Why this position?
This position is a front line supervisory position responsible for the production of food and customer service for University students, staff, faculty, and guests. Areas of responsibility could include dining rooms, bar, kitchen, store rooms, guest areas, catering, and outside spaces. This position ensures staff adhere to the hospitality global service standards for UEE, delivers a unique ND experience for guests, and provides a work environment that is joyful and productive. This person will lead guest hospitality by example, manage inventories, schedules, payroll, revenues, and expenses for the assigned revenue center. This position maintains work environment and ensures practices are in accordance with safety and sanitary guidelines as set forth by the department, evaluates employee performance, makes recommendations concerning corrective action, and issues disciplinary notices when necessary. In addition, this position will support the General Manager with various tasks such as, but not limited to, making reservations for private dining spaces or large parties, updating/maintaining a VIP/large party weekly recap and taking notes at team meetings.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- 3-4 years experience
- 2 years experience working in a Food and Beverage supervision/management position, leading a robust team of at least 45 employees
Preferred Qualifications
- Private Events and Banquets experience is preferred
- Experience in opening new venues or hotels is preferred
