Job Title

Research Associate CASTLE

Job Description

The Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) invites applications for a full-time Associate Director of Research for the Catholic School Teacher Leadership program with an anticipated start date of June 1, 2023. The Catholic School Teacher Leadership program aims to cultivate a spirit of joy in Catholic school mathematics classrooms through a deepening of spiritual formation, increased collaboration within and across schools, enhanced leadership, and academic excellence. In particular, CASTLE forms teacher leaders who empower their Catholic schools by elevating the mathematics program in order to optimize the conditions necessary to bring about students’ academic success and full flourishing in the faith. CASTLE accomplishes its aim by (1) bringing together superintendents, principals, teacher leaders and staff to grapple with cultural and curricular issues within and across schools, (2) fostering a culture of instructional leadership and collaboration among faculty in mathematics education, and (3) nourishing the spiritual growth of teachers. Unlike secular models dedicated to collaborative leadership and the formation of teacher-leaders, CASTLE begins with a commitment to faith and uses this animator to accomplish its desired outcomes through evidence-based practice. The CASTLE Associate Director of Research will be responsible for the research and evaluation components of the CASTLE program as well as assisting in teaching graduate credit-bearing coursework.

Report research and evaluation findings to project team, Executive Leadership team of the Alliance for Catholic Education, (arch)diocesan leaders, and other important stakeholders (including technical reports, summary documentation, and data visualization, where applicable)
PROGRAM IMPROVEMENT: Contribute research and evaluation findings to project meaning-making discussions. Collaborate on program advancement initiatives and development. Serve as the CASTLE Program’s liaison to ACE’s Program of Evaluation and Research
