Instructor/Assistant Professor of Finance
Job Description
The Department of Accounting & Finance in the Phillips School of Business at High Point University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor effective August 2023.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in all areas of finance, including fixed income analysis and derivatives. Advising and mentoring undergraduate students, collaborating with faculty on curriculum and program development, service to the school and university, and scholarly and/or professional contributions are also expected.
The candidate must possess an earned Ph.D. or master’s degree in finance and have a minimum of one year teaching experience. Candidates should have experience teaching students in diverse settings and working within higher education settings in a full-time or adjunct faculty role. Candidates must be able to leverage learning technologies such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Classroom, Blackboard, WebEx, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
