Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor
Job Description
Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor in Entrepreneurship to teach multiple sections of ESP 201: Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Business Models and ESP 401: New Ventures courses in the Farmer School of Business’s Entrepreneurship degree program; responsible for applying a practitioner’s perspective with solid academic foundations to courses in the Entrepreneurship core. Position start date is January 16, 2023.
The Department of Entrepreneurship combines strong academic scholarship and rigorous theoretical and empirical research with immersive, practice-based learning opportunities for students in startup and venture capital, social entrepreneurship and impact investing, corporate innovation and technology commercialization, and creativity and entrepreneurial thinking. Required: Doctorate in entrepreneurship, management, business, or a closely related discipline at time of appointment for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor. Master’s degree in entrepreneurship, management, business, or a closely related discipline by the date of appointment for appointment as Instructor. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime and indefinite basis.
Consideration may be given to candidates with teaching experience and/or entrepreneurial experience in areas related to startup, angel or venture capital investing, business model development or the lean startup methodology, and/or social ventures and impact investing; and a combination of consulting and/or professional experiences engaging with clients in innovation, organizational change, problem solving, design, or idea generation projects from a variety of industries, organizations, and/or disciplines.
