Summary of Job Duties:

The University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is accepting applications for a Part-Time Nursing Instructor. University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College provides access to high-quality education that promotes student learning and enables individuals to develop to their fullest potential.

This position is primarily responsible for educating students who are enrolled in the Medication Assistant-Certified Program. Instructors are expected to be available to assist in either program when needed to fulfill the needs of either of the nursing programs. Instructors must work well with other faculty and understand the concept of team teaching.

General Responsibilities:
• Contributes to decision-making on policies, procedures, and problem solving
• Participate in scheduled faculty meetings and committees
• Manage classroom with a professional demeanor
• Participates in communication between all constituents/affiliates, both internal and external
• Active, unencumbered registered nursing license for the state of Arkansas
• Must be available to teach didactic and clinical components during the evenings
• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
• Microsoft Office Proficiency
• Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently toward course objectives
• Ability to work effectively as a team member


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (RN)
  • 2 years of nursing experience
  • 2 years of experience in long-term care and/or education experience in a nursing home

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • 1 year of nursing education experience

Salary Information:

$10,750 per semester (depending on course offerings)
