If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our Financial & Business Services Group (KCB) team within the Force Projection Sector (FPS) at APL.

 

We are seeking a Capital Financial Analyst and Software Coordinator to help us manage the Sector's capital assets and technical software portfolio. You'll be joining a hardworking team that strives to provide timely, reliable and valuable financial and business operations support and expertise to our customers. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with internal customers and play an active role in the overall financial and operational efficiency of our project portfolios. 

 

As a Capital Financial Analyst and Software Coordinator...

  • Your primary responsibility will be to track and manage the Sector’s Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) engineering, analysis, science and software development software packages.  Included in this responsibility is managing the entire lifecycle of software management, ensuring the Sector's inventory, vendor, license count and renewal dates are accurate and renewals are processed in a timely manner. 
  • You will ensure installation instructions are developed, documented and provided to the end users.  In this role, you will also interface with Enterprise IT teams to ensure licenses are installed and working correctly on Enterprise license servers.
  • You will work with the Sector finance team to develop yearly software budgets, manage and track budgets throughout the fiscal year, perform end of the year forecasts, and work with Sector leadership to produce reports on as needed basis. 
  • You will manage all aspects of the FPS capital planning, budgeting and analysis of our capital project portfolio.  This includes working with the FPS technical staff members to create capital asset charge numbers, updating and maintaining the annual FPS capital plan, tracking capital commitments and expenditures, placing capital assets into service and submitting requests for approval of capital carryover.
  • You will work with the Sector finance team and the FPS Operations Executive to develop the annual capital planning calendar, working with Enterprise business partners to align strategic capital plans, budget and forecasts.  In addition, you will work closely with the FPS Space Manager to track and plan major capital renovation projects.
  • You will support special projects relating to financial and business operations as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or other related field
  • Are a highly detail-oriented person with superior organizational skills
  • Can effectively work in a fast paced/high volume environment
  • Have a proven track record working on complex projects with the ability to effectively prioritize work and can easily and quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric focus
  • Have the ability to prioritize tasks, adjust quickly to changing priorities and the ability to accommodate time critical tasking
  • Have the ability to come up with creative solutions, implement new ideas, and build and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.   • Hold a Master’s Degree in Finance or Business.
  • Have prior experience performing financial anlaysis in a government contracting environment
