Job Description Summary

The Director, Student Engagement develops leadership programming and co-curricular alignment opportunities and supports student clubs and organizations. The Director actively contributes to LLCC’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives by serving on LLCC’s Campus Climate Team and by developing intentional student programming. Additionally, this position develops policies for office personnel, supervises full-time and student employees, maintains the department budget, and oversees the student engagement program.

As a staff member at LLCC, you can look forward to 22 paid holidays a year, including 2 weeks at the end of the calendar year and one week in March for mid-semester break; 12 Fridays off in the summer; and 2 personal days, 15 sick days, and 20 vacation days per year. LLCC staff, their spouse and qualified dependent children are eligible to use the tuition waiver on credited courses. LLCC is a positive, team-oriented environment supportive of staff development. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years of experience with student club advising and leadership/development training
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population
  • Budget management experience
  • Ability to collaborate with appropriate stakeholders and solve problems
  • Detail orientation, strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and good time management skills
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel locally, regionally, and nationally with student leaders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Student Development or Higher Education Administration
  • Experience in a community college setting

Position Salary

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience but will be no less than $63,305 with an excellent benefits package.
