Perform events specialist duties for the Conference Center at Miller Campus. Provide event setups and hosting for events, troubleshooting AV issues and provide excellent Customer Service to clients holding events. Assist in securing buildings at night.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Ensure highest quality of customer service for clients of the Conference Center at Miller Campus. Plan, organize and execute set up and take down of events, troubleshooting AV issues, assisting the clients with event needs. Enforce all policies and procedures regarding safety and event set up protocols. Work as a team member to keep all inventory accounted for and tables and chairs clean and presentable. Minor custodial duties may include light vacuuming and dusting in conference space.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued
Must work efficiently, work well under pressure and at times anticipate daily time constraints. Communicate effectively with staff and clients, work well with a diverse group of staff and clients.
Must be able to be flexible with schedule including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications
One (1) to Two (2) years of direct, paid, full or part time work experience.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Good customer service and some knowledge of AV systems and troubling shooting technical issues.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.

Non-Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Assist Departments/Faculty on campus with unlocking spaces, minor technical AV troubling shooting. Assist campus Facilities staff when needed. Assist Conference Center Manager when needed.
