Class Description

The purpose of this position is to oversee and manage the day to day operations within the Registrar’s office including email platform, enrollment processing of credit and CE documents and academic records.

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field.  Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.  

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, degree in social science, business, information technology, or related field and Master’s degree preferred.  Three (3) years of experience working in higher education, preferably enrollment services or in the Registrar’s office. Knowledge of state and college regulations governing FERPA, AACRAO and other governing agencies required. Advanced knowledge of student information databases required, preferably Banner. Document Imaging experience and customer service experience required.

Class Specific Essential Duties

  1. Provide leadership and supervision of assigned College division or function.
  2. Develop and implement goals and objectives in coordination with senior management.
  3. Implement strategies related to operation and services.
  4. Evaluate the effectiveness of policies and procedures to ensure consistency.
  5. Supervise, advise and evaluate assigned staff, as required.
  6. Prepare, analyze and provide reports on miscellaneous subjects, as requested.
  7. Serve as liaison between College departments, vendors, government agencies and/or other external organizations.

Position Specific Essential Duties

  1. Provide leadership and supervision for the Registrar’s office Tier II call center team, including planning, organizing, staffing, coordinating, and evaluating part time staff.
  2. Provide support with processing credit and continuing education enrollment documents.
  3. Assist with implementing new technologies, maintenance of existing systems, and training of staff to include: Banner testing, new phone technology, document imaging and other technology enhancements to support enrollment services. 
  4. Assist the Registrar’s Management team with institutional research related records and enrollment information. 
  5. Interpret policies and procedures related to students.
  6. Serve on campus and college-wide committees.
  7. Assimilate, secure, and protect student information in the student information system according to FERPA regulations.
  8. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing procedures and policies; and recommend improvements.
  9. Serve as secondary support for Enrollment Service Centers.
