The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Bartender within the department of Legends. The UEE division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Why this position?
This position provides hospitality in accordance with the UEE Global Service Standards. The Bartender will follows recipe, and procedures to properly create, make, and serve beverages (alcohol and non alcohol) and socially interacts and engages with guests and coworkers. This position provides table and bar service to guests, and maintains continuing education of spirits and wines while demonstrating a passion to serve others. This position maintains a clean and organized bar before, during , and at post shift. supports financial expectations by minimizing waste, and handles cash and other tenders properly to accurately record sales and collect revenues. The bartender serves and supports food delivery for guests orders, when necessary.

This position is with University Enterprises and Events at the University of Notre Dame and is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus (1/2 paid after working 150 hours within six months and 1/2 paid after working 300 hours within 1 year from your start date). Candidates are only eligible if they are a new employee to the University – current Notre Dame employees who transfer are not eligible. Other rules and conditions apply.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have (or have ability to receive) Indiana Liquor License
- Must possess good communication and organization skills
- Must be able to present neat, clean and well-groomed appearance and have the ability to follow instructions with limited direct supervision and work well independently, and with a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Serve both guests and fellow employees with excellence; preserve the confidentiality and security of Guest information and belongings.; Work as part of a team as well as work alone with limited direct supervision; ; Engage in friendly, polite conversation. Employee must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance to identified standards.
