Texas A&M Health is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to serve as members of the Texas A&M School of Public Health, Department of Health Behavior. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. The successful applicant will assist Dr. Lei-Shih Chen with coordinating social and behavioral research projects in Public Health Genomics, Cancer Prevention, and/or health disparities. This individual must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. Required Education:
Appropriate PhD
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong quantitative and qualitative data collection, management, and analysis skills
Excellent scientific writing skills
Excellent computer abilities and language skills in English
Excellent communication skills and be able to work as a team player
Being detailed-oriented and patient
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Education & Experience:
PhD in public health, health education, psychology, sociology, education, anthropology, or related fields
Experience in grant management and having prior work experience in grant-funded projects
Published at least two peer-reviewed articles
Responsibilities:
Coordination Duties - Coordinating and managing tasks and time line associated with research project.
Data Collection - Managing and analyzing data gathered for research projects. Conduct social and behavioral science research projects in Public Health Genomics, Cancer Prevention, and/or health disparities (please refer to hpg.tamu.edu to learn about the research work in the Health Promotion and Genomics Lab.)
Writing Duties - Writing manuscripts, abstracts, and reports related to research project. Perform other duties as assigned.
