The Fordham University English department invites applications for a Writer in Residence with a specialization in creative nonfiction. We are particularly interested in candidates with a demonstrated ability to develop and teach courses in multimedia storytelling and public and professional writing.
This is a two year appointment with the expectation, upon review, of an additional three year renewal. Required: MFA or PhD and teaching experience at the college level.
The successful candidate can expect to offer 2/2 teaching load of undergraduate workshops at our Bronx Rose Hill campus and to lead tutorials; to administer university creative writing prizes; to edit a campus literary publication; and to participate actively in the administration of Fordham's growing creative writing program.
Application materials should also address how the candidate's teaching, mentoring, scholarship, and/or community service supports Fordham's commitment to diversity.
Salary range is $60,000-$63,000/year plus benefits included.
