Executive Assistant to the President Emeritus

Job Description

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT EMERITUS, Office of the President, to provide administrative oversight and support to the president emeritus and manage the day-to-day operations of the office.  Will coordinate a complex calendar of meetings, special events, travel, conferences, speaking engagements, outside boards, and other activities; oversee and arrange complex and detailed domestic and international travel, itineraries, and agendas.; process expense reports; oversee research for and assembly of background materials required for meetings, trips, speaking engagements, etc.; monitor and track the flow of information into and out of the office, identifying issues requiring attention; manage moderately complex correspondence; and compose, review, format, and edit certain internal and external documents, presentations, and reports. 

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least seven years’ experience supporting a high-profile individual; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with members of the internal and external community; ability to anticipate the needs of the office and act proactively and strategically; strong organizational skills; keen attention to detail; excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to convey complex issues in a clear manner; discretion with confidential information; ability to multitask and manage changing priorities; and strong computer skills, including proficiency with email, Excel, and PowerPoint software and the ability to work in different platforms and learn various technologies.  PREFERRED:  bachelor’s degree, experience working in a university environment, proficiency using a Mac, and knowledge of FileMaker.  Job #22101-8
