Job Summary/Basic Function:
Job Goal:
Provide administrative and program support for the Basic Food Employment and Training program.

Typical Duties:
  • Provide administrative and program support by answering BFET calls, emails and general BFET student walk-in questions.
  • Coordinate and make arrangements for BFET activities such as meetings, scheduling, and preparing outreach materials.
  • Review Workforce Funding application for BFET eligibility.
  • Facilitate BFET students monthly progress reports and eJas reporting.
  • Compose written communications, and establish and maintain records relating to the BFET operations.
  • Use spreadsheet and data base software to develop and maintain student records.
  • Compile and distribute information relative to the BFET program activities.
  • Confer with other campus departments and outside agencies and serve as resource person for the Workforce Funding department.
  • Under the direction of BFET staff leadership, create student vouchers and monthly notes in eJas.
  • Provide Workforce Funding front desk coverage on a rotating schedule.



Minimum Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidential information
  • Basic to intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Access database and Microsoft Word
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment
  • Demonstrated ability to complete work accurately within deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations related to BFET.
  • Knowledge of community college processes, including PeopleSoft ctcLink.
  • Experience using DSHS case management database eJAS.

Work Hours: Typically Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Could potentially have flexibility to work 4-10s. Summer schedule may vary: 4-10s, Monday thru Thursday.

Salary: $37,152 to $44,808 plus benefits
