Position Summary:
The Counseling & Testing Center (CTC) at the University of Idaho is announcing a post-doctoral fellowship designed for a clinician who has an interest in receiving training in an area of professional specialization. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-recurring appointment. The postdoctoral fellowship will provide general training in individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, psychological assessment, clinical supervision, outreach and consultation. There will also be opportunities to participate on counseling center committees, contribute to services provided through liaison relationships and take a leadership role in an existing relationship or development of a new liaison role. In addition, more intensive and specialized training may be available in the areas of sports psychology, substance abuse treatment and/or psychological assessment. The postdoctoral fellow will also receive clinical supervision that meets board requirements in the state of Idaho (IDAPA 24.12.01)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Conferred doctoral degree prior to starting date
- Completion of APA-accredited doctoral program and APA-accredited doctoral internship
- Experience providing crisis intervention and individual counseling with young adults
- Demonstrated experience in providing culturally competent services to a diverse client population
- Demonstrated experience in providing outreach and consultation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a college or university counseling center
- Experience providing group counseling
