Performing the essential functions of cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans and other assigned wares in the establishment. Maintaining a work area that is compliant with UNH and State of NH codes and regulations pertaining to safety, cleanliness and proper food handling. Completes special cleaning duties and projects as assigned by supervisor. Supports and directs student co-workers.

High School Diploma or Equivalent Must be able to communicate clearly with a very diverse team. Must be able to physically meet demands of the position including lifting, bending, twisting, pulling and pushing loads up to 50 lbs. Must be able to read and understand equipment and cleaning supply instructions.

Duty/Responsibility

Cleaning dirty pots and pans to UNH and DHHS standards and returning clean items to their proper storage location. Monitoring 3 bay sink and dish machine water temp and chemical levels and adjusting as necessary.

Duty/Responsibility

Maintaining UNH standards of cleanliness, safety and sanitation throughout the shift- garbage waste, food waste, floors, walls, surfaces, glass, equipment. Always leaving the work station properly organized and cleaned for the next associate assigned to work in that area. Performing additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Duty/Responsibility

Monitoring work area for safety- proper use of equipment, general working conditions. Reporting equipment malfunctions and needed repairs to supervisor. Reporting unsafe behavior of co-workers to supervisor.

Duty/Responsibility

Working with fellow adult and student employees in a respectful and well mannered way as required by the UNH Hospitality Handbook. 
 
This is considered an essential position and attendance would be required when the University declares Curtailed or Delayed Operations.
