Do you want to become an expert in engineering for the space environment?

Do you like contributing to projects that cross engineering and science fields to meet real-life space flight engineering challenges?

If you are graduating with a Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and are interested in Space Environmental Effects, we'd love to have you join our team!

We are seeking a Space Environmental Effects Engineer to help us ensure that space flight hardware meets environmental requirements to enable mission success. As a member of our Space Environmental Effects Engineering group, you will join a hardworking team of engineers and scientists who work to ensure that APL’s spacecraft and space instruments survive in, operate through, and measure accurate scientific data of the space environments they encounter. We are passionate about contributing to space exploration through engineering. Our team is committed to delivering our contributions in a timely and efficient manner. We strive to foster an environment of collaboration and inclusion. Our team values a hands-on approach as well as problem-solving and communication skills.

As a member of our team, you will contribute to one or more of our technical areas:

- Radiation engineering
